Designing the website came with some difficulties. I knew I wanted to pay homage to Miami’s gay/queer subculture in which I grew up in, but realized that took to much of a challenge. Ideas flew in left and right and I realized I had to play with the minimalistic aesthetics I enjoy, as well as my interest in culinary, art and the people who made me, me!
Using orange and green as the main colors for this project, I wanted to go with a technological-minimalistic look.
Using Adobe photoshop, I took a license plate I found back home on the streets, photographed it and photoshopped it to say VITC27. I took the origin numbers and cropped the background to that creamish-color you can see, and smart cropped the green colors to spell out the “VITC” (looking closely, you can see the difference between the VITC and the 27). Inspired by my podcast with my good baddie friend Lukas, titled Vitamin C Podcast (on Youtube).
